Every year more and more unique models appear, proving that the modern world is much more diverse than those around it used to seeing it.
One of such models was Diandra Forrest, a girl with African roots, suffering from albinism.
Natural hair the color of wheat, green eyes, fair skin and African features - a mixture that could not go unnoticed by the casting managers of model agencies.
Like all people from Africa who suffer from albinism, Diandra was doomed to a difficult childhood full of resentment, ridicule and insult. The elder brother of the model is also an albino, and together the children coped more easily with difficulties that were abound.
Forest was noticed due to its instagram account, the audience of which has more than 150 thousand subscribers. After the first publications, which received a lot of positive feedback, the girl cheered and firmly decided not to pay attention to the negative from others.
Together with confidence in themselves came the first proposals from the model agencies, accepted by Diandra with great joy, and out of rogue she was able to turn into a popular model.
Together with her brother and colleagues, who also suffer from albinism, Diandra dreams of changing the public perception of her illness and hopes that someday people like her will stop humiliating others.
“As I get older, I would like to have someone older who is also suffering from albinism. Then I would always have an example of how I would look in the future, understanding and able to support,” Diadra says. Now, being a mature and successful girl, Forest herself is trying to be an example for young albinos, communicating with them in social networks.
The demand in the modeling business did not prevent Dandre from remaining a kind and sensitive person who did not forget what he had to go through. The desire of a girl to help those who suffer from the same malady as she is admirable and should be a good example for many.
